Adults

I support adults, including parents and caregivers, in exploring their emotions, strengths, and experiences through reflective art practices. With experience working across diverse populations, I offer tailored interventions that address unique needs, helping people rediscover or rebuild their creative voice. Art Therapy offers a gentle path for adults to explore themselves more deeply while nurturing self-compassion for their experiences.

Art therapy for adults is effective in addressing a broad range of presentations, including managing mental health conditions, coping with life transitions, and exploring personal identity. Art therapy can support the processing of traumatic material, improve emotional regulation, and enhance overall wellbeing.

Through creative expression, adults can gain insight into their thoughts and feelings and develop more creative and reflective ways to cope. By creating a brave and supportive environment, I guide people in their journey towards growth and personal development.

Session Information

The first session is an opportunity for us to review your intake paperwork and discuss your therapeutic goals. Together we will spend 50 minutes to explore what drew you to art therapy and how I can meet your therapeutic needs. This initial session may need to run longer if required.

Following this, sessions will be one-on-one and also last 50 minutes each, plus an extra 10 minutes for clean-up included in your quote. Nectar Art Therapy offers a five-week block of weekly or fortnightly sessions. These sessions typically involve a blend of talking and engaging with hands-on creative activities. Through this creative process, we’ll explore feelings, share experiences, and work towards achieving therapeutic goals.

The initial five sessions typically focus on building a therapeutic relationship and gaining a deeper understanding of your strengths and needs. After five sessions, we will review your progress to decide if you want to continue for another block or work towards ending therapy. The decision to extend depends on your goals and needs.
